Swansea City have been without several key players during the opening stages of Russell Martin’s tenure as boss.
With just three games remaining before the first international break of the campaign, Swansea will desperately be bidding to get some wins on the board.
And ahead of the fixtures against Bristol City, Plymouth Argyle and Preston North End, we took a closer look at when the club’s injured players could return to action.
Kyle Naughton
The 32-year-old was withdrawn in the second half of the 3-0 Carabao Cup first round win at Reading earlier this month.
He has subsequently missed the league fixtures with Sheffield United and Stoke City, although the versatile defender’s injury is not serious.
Expected return date: Bristol City (A)

Ryan Bennett
The centre-back has not featured since the opening day defeat to Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
However, ahead of Tuesday’s loss to Stoke City, Russell Martin said the 31-year-old was close to a return to action.
Expected return date: Bristol City (A)
Korey Smith
The central midfielder was forced off the pitch in the 55th minute of the loss to Blackburn after sustaining a calf injury.
Martin has already confirmed that Smith’s injury was not serious, although he will not be rushed back to action, particularly given the options Swansea have in the centre of the park at present.
Expected return date: Post international break

Liam Walsh
The summer signing is still sidelined with the hamstring injury he picked up in the 3-1 pre-season loss to Southampton on July 31.
It means he is yet to feature under the new regime, although after missing the opening four games of the campaign, ex-Bristol City man Walsh could well return in the near future.
Expected return date: Plymouth (H) / Preston North End (A)
Tivonge Rushesha
The young defender’s 2020/21 campaign was cruelly cut short as he suffered an ACL injury during a training session.
Rushesha has fully recovered and is now building his way back to full fitness after recently returning to training.
Expected return date: Late September/early October

Connor Roberts
Roberts has been out of action since suffering a groin injury in the first half of Wales’ 4-0 Euro 2020 defeat to Denmark in June.
Having undergone surgery, the Welshman is continuing to recover and is not yet back in first team training.
“He’ll be with us sooner rather than later, but he’s still got a way to go with his rehab,” Martin said last week.
“He’s a player I’m really looking forward to working with. But you just can’t rush these guys.
“Once he’s ready, we’ll look forward to seeing him back on the training pitch.”
Expected return date: Late September/early October
