Part of the M4 near Swansea is closed in both directions due to a serious incident.
The M4 is closed in both directions between Junction 47 at Penllegaer and Junction 48 at Hendy.
Police are on the scene and say the road is expected to remain closed for some time. They are advising motorists to avoid the scene.
There is heavy traffic in the area as a result of the incident with congestion trailling back to Junction 26.
South Wales Police have been approached regarding the nature of the incident.
