England take on Hungary in their next World Cup qualifier as they look to book their place at next year’s tournament in Qatar.

It is set to be their hardest fixture in their Group I schedule, with only the winners of the group guaranteed qualification.

Here is everything you need to know about the fixture.

What time is Hungary v England?

The match kicks off at 7.45pm (BST) on Thursday, September 2, at the Puskas Arena in Budapest

Is Hungary v England on TV? What about live streaming?

The game is being shown live on ITV, with coverage starting at 7.15pm.

You will also be able to stream the game on ITV’s Hub app.

What’s the latest team news?

Gareth Southgate is sweating on the fitness of Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho, who suffered an injury in midweek, it was revealed.

Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin will miss out after picking up a knock for the Toffees playing Brighton last weekend.

With no replacement called up, Leeds United’s Patrick Bamford may see some game-time in Budapest.

For the hosts, Hungary will be without Hajduk Split defender Gergo Lovrencsics after the 44-cap man damaged ankle ligaments.

What has the manager said?

Southgate: “The team has gained confidence from what they achieved and the progress they’ve made.

“But equally we have to start again. The journey to having the chance of another run like that in a tournament is under way.

“Mentally it’s a good test for us. Away from home, 60,000 fans and a very good team we’re playing against. We have got to be at our very best.”

What are the betting odds?
