Greggs is launching its Pumpkin Spice Latte today – despite the summer holidays not being over.

Last year the Pumpkin Spice Latte was not available to customers until October 1.

But the high street bakery will start selling the autumnal beverage on Thursday, August 26 making it the earliest Greggs has ever launched it.

The famous drink is made with a blend of freshly ground coffee, pumpkin spice flavour syrup and steamed milk, all topped with sweet, tasty cream and a sprinkle of spiced sugar.

Made using Fairtrade Arabica and Robusta coffee beans from Peru, Colombia, and Tanzania and slow-roasted to create an extra-flavoursome brew, the latte costs £1.95.

Greggs fans will be able to get their Pumpkin Spice Latte fix in shops, through click + collect on the new Greggs app, or for delivery via Just Eat.

New users of the Greggs app can get a free Pumpkin Spice Latte (or any regular hot drink) on registration.

Customer director at Greggs, Hannah Squirrell, said: “The return of the fan-favourite Pumpkin Spice Latte to our menu will no doubt delight our customers nationwide.

“Coffee is exceptionally popular among our customers and we’re excited to be bringing back another delicious offering to our extensive range.”

The announcement comes after Greggs became the latest company to suffer food shortages.

Bakery outlets across the country are reportedly dealing with shortages of chicken-based products like its popular chicken bake and sandwiches. You can read more on this here.
