Six people including a child under the age of 10 were shot dead when a gunman opened fire on a street in Plymouth last night.
Police confirmed that three females and three males, one of which was the shooter, all died in the rampage on Thursday evening.
Witnesses reported hearing “loud bangs” and “gun shots” as the deadly spree began in the Keyham area at about 6pm on Thursday August 12.

One said she saw a man “randomly” start shooting at people, though police have said the tragic incident is not terror related.
Most of those killed were not known to the gunman, Plymouth Live reports.

The UK has one of the lowest gun homicide rates in the world, and mass shootings are rare. This was the first mass shooting in the country for 11 years.
Witness Sharron Turner, 57, lives nearby and said she saw the gunman kick in the front door of a semi-detached property before opening fire on a mother and her daughter, who she says looked about five-years-old.
She told the Times the man was dressed in black and grey and armed with what looked like a semi-automatic weapon.
“Firstly, there was shouting, followed by gunshots – three possibly four to begin with,” she told the BBC.
“This was when the shooter kicked in the door of a house and randomly started shooting … He ran from the house shooting as he ran and proceeded to shoot at a few people in the linear park up from the drive.”
Another witness, Robert Pinkerton, said he heard a loud bang and when he turned a corner he bumped into a man, and ‘swerved’ when he saw a gun.
He said he saw an injured woman in the doorway of a hairdressers and witnessed a man trying to give her medical attention.
Another eyewitness wrote on social media as the incident unfolded: “There’s [a man] on the rampage in my cul-de-sac with a real gun and he’s already shot two people.
“They are laying on the ground. One is dead – blood everywhere. I’m shaking like leaf.”
Local residents are currently on lockdown as police investigate the scene with cordons in place on roads nearby.
Crime scene officers in white suits could be seen using cameras in the street and members of the public living locally were barred from going into their homes.
Local MP Luke Pollard said more people were being treated for their injuries in hospital.
He said: “Just so unspeakably awful. My condolences and thoughts are with the families.
“I’m utterly devastated that one of the people killed in the Keyham shooting was a child under ten years old.”
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed the fatalities and said in a statement: “Police were called to a serious firearms incident in Biddick Drive, in the Keyham area of Plymouth at around 6.10pm today [Thursday 12 August].
“Officers and ambulance staff attended the scene.

“Following attendance at the scene, two females and two males were deceased at the scene. A further male, believed to be the offender, was also deceased at the scene. All are believed to have died from gunshot wounds.
“Another female treated at the scene for gunshot wounds, died a short time later in hospital.
“All of the next of kin of the deceased have been located and informed by Devon & Cornwall Police officers.
“Devon & Cornwall Police would stress this is not a terrorism related incident.
“The area has been cordoned off and police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
“Investigations are continuing into the incident and disruption to the road network in the Keyham will remain throughout the night.
Three air ambulances landed in a park before heading to a nearby hospital while the the Hazardous Area Response Unit and National Police Air Service also rushed to the scene.
